EBC Group recognised as UK Business Hero

HRH The Countess of Wessex wrote to businesses, including EBC Group, to thank them for going the extra mile during the pandemic whilst congratulating them on receiving the UK Business Hero stamp.
The recognition comes as part of a campaign by British Chambers of Commerce, with the EBC Group nominated by the Herefordshire & Worcestershire Chamber of Commerce.
The campaign recognises the work that businesses are doing to support the local business community, alongside clients and colleagues.
EBC Group had planned for the eventuality of their team having to remote work during a potential lockdown but like all organisations when it was introduced they had to move extremally quickly in order to be setup and ready to help our clients.
The first few weeks of lockdown were extremely busy for the helpdesk team, which saw an increase of 4 times the amount of tickets and double the amount of phone calls from clients who found themselves in difficult working circumstances and often required immediate help and assistance to continue working.
Richard Lane, Group Managing Director of EBC Group said “We are proud to receive this honour, which is recognition of the incredible work our team carried out over the course of the Coronavirus pandemic.
“Despite being in an unfamiliar working environment, the helpdesk team were able to assist clients with a high level of professionalism and in a friendly way, ensuring that their issues were dealt with quickly and efficiently.”
“The EBC Group team has supported a wide range of initiatives over the course of pandemic, and efforts have made a tangible impact across the region. This included donating 40 iPads to Worcestershire Acute NHS Hospitals Trust so COVID-19 patients in isolation could keep in touch with their loved ones.”
