SwyxIt! has a universal interface that enables further Collaboration applications to be seamlessly integrated. Plug-in technology allows additional functions to be connected during a phone call. Third-party manufacturers and system integrators are enabled to integrate further Collaboration applications simply and effectively into SwyxIt!.

INTERFACES USED TO LINK TO

For customers with special requirements for the integration of communication functions, Swyx offers free-of- charge access to the Software Development Kit (SDK). The SDK allows access to all SwyxIt! functions in order to integrate these into your own applications.

THE WORLD OF SWYX

INSTALLATION MADE EASY

Terminal devices such as IP desk telephones are simply connected to the local network (LAN) and detected by SwyxServers. The necessary configuration takes place automatically, so that devices are operational at once. The integration into Microsoft® Active Directory means that even larger Swyx installations can be administered with ease.

It makes no difference whether you decide on a modern SIP connection from a service provider, or choose a connection via the established ISDN telephone network for handling the external voice communication. In both cases, you always have the best possible voice quality with Swyx.

SWYX IS PERSONAL

The unique SwyxIt! skin concept allows quick and uncomplicated changing of the user interface. SwyxIt! users can choose from a variety of supplied skins according to the individual requirements of their workstation. The receptionist or “power user” will want an interface with a large number of speed dials and line buttons, while users with normal requirements may prefer a more compact interface.

INTEGRATES MICROSOFT OUTLOOK AND LOTUS NOTES

Swyx integrates the leading groupware programs Microsoft® Outlook and IBM® Lotus Notes®. In addition to increased productivity, the use of established and well-known applications also leads to higher acceptance of new features by users.

PC AND PHONE IN PERFECT HARMONY

Swyx enables coupling of the SwyxIt! telephony software with a SwyxPhone IP telephone in CTI mode (Computer Telephony Integration). With SwyxIt! you can manage all calls conveniently from your PC, including your desk telephone, too. The CTI mode offers the further advantage that the full Swyx functionality can also be provided in terminal server environments, such as in connection with thin clients.

It means that employees can use all the significant convenience functions with their mobile phones, too. Customers need only be given one contact number, as calls can be intelligently routed to the right place in the organisation, depending on current availability.

YOUR MOBILE OFFICE

The Swyx mobility concept allows your staff the option of giving out only one phone number on which they can be reached – regardless of the terminal device used (One-Number Concept). In turn, calls made from a mobile phone display the office phone number to the called party, not the mobile number. Depending on the mobile phone used, many additional features are available, making the personal telephony environment usable even while travelling. The SwyxIt! Mobile Client converts your mobile phone into an office phone, so you can use the convenient Swyx telephony functions while on the move.

IPHONES AND MORE

With SwyxIt! Mobile you can quickly and easily integrate your Apple® iPhone or Android-based mobile phone* into office communications. You then have all company contacts including up-to-date presence information even while travelling. Caller lists and forwarding options can also be accessed remotely – quickly and conveniently.

SEE AND BE SEEN – PRESENCE INFORMATION

Presence information in Swyx allows you to display your status of availability to other employees. Team members therefore know who is logged on and/or available, and can reach the right person immediately. Consequently, this saves time and avoids unsuccessful communication attempts.

EVERYTHING UNDER CONTROL

With SwyxIt! you can define your own speed dials for internal and external contacts, so that you can access frequently dialled numbers as quickly as possible. Tabs help to structure speed dials, such as by classifying them by departments. In addition, the call journal provides an overview of all incoming and outgoing calls, redials, missed calls, own callback requests, and recorded calls.

CONTACTS QUICKLY FOUND

Both a company-wide phone book and a personal phone book are available. The company phone book also shows the presence information for the required communication partner. The user can search easily for entries within phone books or directly in SwyxIt!. Using the practical hotkey functionality, you can select and dial phone numbers in any Windows application at just the click of a mouse.

VOICEMAIL UNLIMITED

A voicemail system is available for each user, with extensive functions. Voicemails can be sent from the server as an attachment to an email address, and be retrieved by the recipient, after entering the email inbox, be forwarded, answered, saved or deleted and can be retrieved by remote access with a telephone or with SwyxIt!.
