21 Years Old!
In August 1989 Richard Lane, Founder and Managing Director of EBC Group set up a fax supplies shop in Stourbridge. From these modest beginnings, things progressed rapidly from the humble fax machine to photocopiers, printers, early electronic document back-up systems through to today’s technologies such as e mail, VOIP (Voice Over Internet Protocol) telephone systems, electronic document management and IT solutions.
“It’s amazing how far we’ve come from the early days of fax machines” says Richard. “When I first started selling fax machines in the late 1980s, I didn’t really understand the technology – I just knew there was a revolution taking place.”
As technology has advanced, so has EBC Group’s relationship with its customers, many of whom have stayed with them since the inception of the business.
“In these challenging times customers are always looking for innovation and added value” states Richard. “Our strategy supports this and we hope to build on our success by announcing acquisitions and strategic partnerships to support this in the coming months.”
In addition to this, EBC Group has recently recorded record sales, despite continually tough trading conditions.
