How EBC can help you...
Describing MPS - What is a managed print service?
Often overlooked, print is an infrastructure just as important as IT networks, facilities and telecommunications. The long-term results of a successful MPS partnership include enhanced productivity, increased compliance, improved environmental sustainability and measurable delivery of cost savings.
Simon Harrison, Joint Head of EBC Managed Services division explains “While this can be executed by our clients internally, typically MPS is ‘outsourced’. We will spend an agreed period of time assessing the current print estate; looking at what the client owns, where it is located, how well it is working, how much it is costing and whether it is supporting the client’s own business goals.”
He continues, “To transition into a fully managed print service we follow the ITIL methodology of Assess; Design; Implement and Manage. Our very special distinction from other companies offering MPS is that we then transition into Enhance: “
“Through collaboration with our Content and Document Management team we work with our clients to investigate their document processes” shares Simon. Doug Embleton, Head of EBC Content and Document Management division builds on this confirming “in the final phase of EBC’s methodology, clients move beyond optimization of their print infrastructure to actually enhancing its capabilities by using content, document management and document workflow to improve basic business processes and other paper intensive processes.”
