When EBC Group were first approached by HallmarkHulme, they were running an old  system that was tired and was in desperate needed of updating.

With limited remote access, employees had minimal connectivity to work away from the office, in addition to an in-house wireless system that was often unreliable and struggled to connect visiting guests and clients.

As a reputable solicitors, HallmarkHulme also needed a service that would offer exceptional levels of security and reliability and would see backup’s moved from a local device to a more robust and scaleable disaster recovery solution.

The Approach

Starting with a number of on-site visits, EBC Group presented HallmarkHulme with an in-depth service report and commercial summary, that gave a clear insight into the areas that needed updating and enhancing.

Breaking down payments, the reports highlighted the areas where HallmarkHulme could make significant savings and where this could then be reinvested to improve other areas of business.

Investing in mail and firewall defences led HallmarkHulme to further invest in new servers and a complete migration to EBC Group’s data centre, with EBC Group dealing with all 3rd parties for a seamless transition.

With the cost savings acquired via a new IT system, HallmarkHulme made further investments in EBC Group’s managed services, with the implementation of a new print and telephony environment.

Providing HallmarkHulme with a brand new IT system, EBC Group has not only provided greater performance and reliability, but also a scalable system that is able to accommodate for any future expansion and business growth.

A new remote desktop environment now provides complete flexibility for employees, with remote users now using one unified platform.

From the implementation of a new IT system, HallmarkHulme also received a state of the art virtual backup and disaster recovery plan; with virtual backups now replicated at EBC Group’s onsite data centre for peace of mind and enhanced security.

A new Leased line has since been implemented that links directly into EBC Group’s head office data centre, which has also enabled the implementation of a Voice over IP (VoIP) service, making considerable savings on HallmarkHulme’s telephony systems.

Through the management of one area, the cost savings have since allowed for further investments in other areas of the business, resulting in significant cost savings and a future proof office environment.
