Consultancy
EBC believes that Workplace Technology; although common is uniquely defined by each organisation – one size does not fit all. Whilst there are many reoccurring themes from company-to-company, the full value is realised through appropriate process and several disciplines, such as creating a clear business strategy and vision. Once established the next phase is to accurately identify and align user and organisational requirements, followed by properly executed implementation plan.
Our approach is iterative and can be executed over and over to fulfill time-to-market needs of any organisation. The EBC Methodology has been developed by working closely with more than 1100 clients over a number of years. The experiences gained have been invaluable in the success of new projects. To this end, EBC has developed a phased approach based on Prince2 methodology to fully implement tailored Workplace Technology Solutions.
Project Phases
EBC consultancy services help companies throughout the scope of the initial project and most often onto the next project. Included in these services we provide high-level consulting on the concepts and components of robust scalable workplace solutions (people, process, & technology) right down to the provision and initiation of the enabling technologies.
The EBC Methodology phases include the following:
- Discovery – this phase consists of formulating and mapping a WT (Workplace Technology) Vision to an organisation. Business Drivers, Readiness, People, Process and Technology issues will be explored at this time.
- Design – a WT Workshop will be conducted that walks the team through tasks and exercises that result in a General Requirements Definition. Detailed Design will follow and definitions of project details, milestones, task assignments, functionality, and look and feel will be finalised and documented.
- Implementation – execution of the project plan will create the solution as determined from the previous phases. This phase consists of sub-phases that work as milestones that measure the success of the ongoing project. Each milestone can be "signed off" when the predefined requirements have been met. There will be constant reporting provided to varying levels throughout.
- Deployment & Training – rolling out any new solutions (hardware or software) requires a transition phase consisting of testing, deployment, and training. Often these steps are overlooked or not stressed enough they are integral to our solution deployment.
- Relationship Management – After the successful rollout the true nature of our work beings. Monthly, Quarterly and Annual Account Management Reviews give performance feed-back, provide support and maintenance updates, cascade latest product knowledge transfer, more project threads, and future feature roll out. These are all managed by your client account manager.
The EBC approach brings structured thinking to your WT project. The approach is designed to be modular, so your organisation can choose to start at different phases or apply various resources depending on your specific readiness and business requirements.
Partner Methodologies
The EBC value proposition also provides ‘best practice’ feedback on the methodologies and experiences of our Partner Organisations’ and clients. Our partners include technology and service leaders.
EBC Professional Services Organisation
Although EBC views its primary role as a workplace solution provider, we also provides our own Professional Services Organisation (PSO).
The PSO is comprised of a project management team, consultants, and a competence center. This full service approach enables EBC to act as general contractor for its clients. EBC delivery consultants and solution partners can be made part of a project team as a sub-contractor or as the Prime, depending on the specific scope and requirements of the client project. EBC’s practices and methodologies allow for this flexibility while assuring client project success.
Project Management Team
The EBC Project Management Team is a group of experienced project managers, whose primary function is to plan, coordinate, and guide customer projects. EBC consultants or trained solution partners normally carry out the implementation of projects. The EBC project team manages the coordination of the parties involved and the definition of the communication interfaces.
Projects can be managed directly by EBC. Those involved have a complete overview of the current status and progress of a project and can therefore react to deviations and changes as they arise.
This is viewed as key, as it places great value on client projects being conducted in a problem- and delay-free environment. EBC endeavors to guide clients toward the use of established best practices. Potential risk to the success of the project (technical, organisational, skill) is addressed as early as possible to counteract these effects. In doing so, EBC helps guarantee that projects are carried out efficiently, within the time allotted and with the highest quality solutions.
